<p class=MsoNormal>Michael seconded and the motion was passed. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Monica moved that the minutes from the previous meeting be
approved as read. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>Announcements state and Local:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>A Meet the Blind Month Walk will be happening on Saturday,
October, 23. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>Student Seminar Update <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>We are trying to find an available place to play goal ball. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>We will continue to look for a facility with easy access. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>The lunch at the seminar will be pizza and soft drinks/juice
depending on if there are any kids attending.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>We were trying to decide which restaurant to order from so
that the price won’t be so high, until we decided on Pizza Hut because
they have the cheapest specials. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Guest speakers will include Christine Hall, Darian Smith,
Kelly Birma, and Terese Garcia. Possible guest speakers include: Cheryl Fogle
and Ray Marshall: Tara will contact them and find out if they are interested.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>We are still trying to get a hold of Claudia to find out if
the parent division wants to participate in our seminar.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>We will be using two rooms so that we can do scenarios with
small groups. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Fundraising<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Mugs and t-shirts are still being sold.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Amanda brought Tara some extra canes, just in case we have a
Disability Awareness Day and we don’t have enough blind people with canes
to borrow. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>We’ve decided that our only activity for November will
be the student seminar. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>The meeting for November will be on the 21st via
teleconference. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>The National student Devision is doing Pennies for Pages
campaign. For each page a participant in the contest reads a penny is donated
by a sponsor of that participant to the National Association of Blind Students
for Braille literacy.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Monica moved that the meeting be adjourned at 8:19 pm. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Michael seconded. <o:p></o:p></p>
