Hi, I'm currently teaching in a second grade classroom. I am in the middle
of a map unit. I've been using sticky notes and brailing on them. I then put
them on the maps in advance with a reader. We started the unit with making a
map of their rooms. I made one for an example along with the key. next week
we are playing a game where each kid will have a card on it with a type of
geography such as mountain, river, Lake etc. I will define the terms and the
children will decide if they have the match. I also use some tacktle maps. I
also united streaming for print outs of maps. Hope this helps. Bran
