suggested needed how does a  teacher of special education teach reading and math to students with learning disabilities    Hi:
MY name is Sara Rooz. I am a a blind certified teacher of special education and a blind certified teacher of the blind and visually impaired in New York State. Currently, I am fortunate to teach as a certified teacher of the blind and visually impaired in New York city for the past four years and i plan to ccontinue teaching as a certified teacherof the blind and visually impaired during the next fiscal year. However, I would like to consider teaching with my special education certification both reading and mathemathics to students with learning disabilities. What strategies do other blind special education teachers use to teach reading and math to students with learning disabilities. ? I have taught in the past reading comprehension and vocabulary to students with learning disabilities at managed to get all the students reading materials in braille. Is the same strategy to teach students with learning disabilities reading appropriate? Thanks for any suggestions to my query.
