Hi,
Could you explain how to use the grading feature in
Word? I had a teacher try to put their comments in the Grading
feature, but it was not accessible. How do you use it?

Yes, on-line grading is fabulous. I use it all the time by
having students just email papers or submit them to electronic
boards. I tend to dislike the one we are using at my university
so I use email primarily. It works fabulously, and the comments
feature in Word is quite handy and seems to be great for the
students.
Have a wonderful holiday!
Chris

Hi Ashley,

I don't know much about the k-12 system, but at least in college
there is a trend toward paperless classrooms that makes it a lot
easier for blind people to grade papers. Students are required
to word process their papers anyway, so it's just as easy for
them to e-mail in their papers or submit them to a course
management system, and it saves them printing costs. It works
really well for us because of course a blind person can comment
on a digital paper just the way a sighted person can.

Best,
Karl

Emily,
haven't seen you before.
How long have you taught writing? Do you have a mastters in
english?

How do you read and correct student papers? Normally professors
write
comments between the lines since papers are double spaced, and
also in
margins.

Nice to see you're on list.

Ashley
