With the software from Dancing Dots you could convert the print music to
braille yourself or with a bit of assistance in editing. It is a big
investment, however. Perhaps a local organization already has the software?
Or perhaps you could have someone read you the music and you could braille
it yourself so you would have the information. You would also need
descriptions of what the various notes, signatures, etc looked like. 

Also, if interested in teaching by ear take a look at how Bill Brown
teaches. He has basic courses you can buy and also specific songs. Maybe you
could usr his style but do it in a live setting with adult students. He even
has lessons on how to improvise and accompany and basic music theory.

Unfortunately, braille and especially braille music is extremely hard to
come by in Canada. Thanks for the suggestions.
