Kayla,
Allow me to suggest that you begin taking classes that will satisfy a two year program and simultaneously qualify for transfer into a four-year program. Many such credit courses exist. If you have not started any program at all then you need to begin with basic education courses anyway. You can start on these.

You need to stop focusing on what you regard as lost time. Whatever you have been doing fulfilled experiences that you needed to have. Many people begin college programs and change their focus many times just as many people change their career paths as well.

During one semester of college I voluntarily lived with a young woman in college who was wheelchair-bound and needed almost constant support and assistance in all daily living tasks. I was contemplating working with the physically disabled. Two weeks into the experience I knew that working with the physically disabled was not for me. I stuck out my entire semester commitment and did it gladly. Why gladly, you may ask? Gladly, because I learned something about myself. I learned that something I thought I would be good at and interested in was in fact something I never wanted to do. It was not a waste of my time.

Have you sent in applications to programs? Do it this week. Sending in the applications is not a commitment. Have you filled out a FAFSA Application? The deadline is almost here. You could do this in the following week as well.

I would be happy to speak with you off-line. If you are interested send me a private message.
