I am posting this to the list at the request of our national office in Baltimore.

Tactile Graphics Research
Pearson is recruiting for participants in a multi-year study on tactile graphics. We are looking for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs), braille transcribers, braille proofreaders, and other professionals who create or conduct quality assurance checks on tactile graphics. The purpose of the study is to help us understand how best to produce tactile graphics to maximize their effectiveness as tools for instruction and assessment.

If selected to participate, you will be asked to produce some tactile graphics using digital files we will provide. The graphics files will be sent to you during the summer and completed graphics will be due back to us by September 20, 2021. You will be provided with the materials and postage necessary to mail the graphics to us, but you will need to create the graphics with your own materials. You will also be required to participate in a follow-up phone or video conference interview.
Those who are selected to participate in the study will receive an honorarium.
