Hello Chase,
I too am looking for a middle school band director position. I live in Ohio
and I have try to come across any thing like that in a job description. If
I did, for me personally, you bet your bottom that i’d be interviewing for
the pure sake of curiosity and advocacy…seeing where that would lead. I
don’t know much about other states but Ohio has a thing called Disability
Rights Ohio where they would help guide one in matters like this. This
seems like pure discrimination to me, it’s not like we are applying for a
school bus driver.
