[NOBE-L] Smartbook

Hi everyone, 
I have been on this list for awhile, having thought at one time that I would be a teacher. Although I ended up going to school to get a Masters in counseling and am now a rehabilitation counselor, I've always been struck by how friendly and supportive people on this list are. 
One of my blind friends is a student whose school is using Smartbook for assignments. My friend says they feel that Smartbook is very inaccessible, both with an iPhone and a computer (Mac user). 
I was wondering if any of you use Smartbook for their classes and have any pointers in allowing it to be more accessible.
