Hi Matthew,
I apologize for my late response. I am totally blind, and teach high school
music in Chicago. I previously taught middle school music in Nebraska. I
previously worked in a public school, and now teach in a charter school. I
know you are pursuing a different subject area, but I'm happy to help if you
have questions about teaching in general. Feel free to email me off list
anytime at chase.crispin at gmail.com.
Thanks,
Chase

Subject: [NOBE-L] Seeking Mentor for Last Year of Education Program:
Studying to Teach Middle or High School English Language Arts
Hi all:
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inquire about the
possibility of securing a mentor for my final year of study at Southern Utah
University. I am pursuing a degree in English education with the intention
of teaching English o middle or high school students. I am open to teaching
in person or online.
I have previously attempted to connect with a mentor through the
blindeducators.org platform, but I have not yet received a response. I am
hopeful that this channel of communication will prove more effective, as I
hold the National Organization of Blind Educators in high esteem and would
be honored to participate in any mentorship opportunities they may offer.
I eagerly anticipate your response.
Sincerely,
Matthew Robinson
