I know it's frustrating. I took the Praxis about 8 years ago, but I remember how difficult they were to work with, and how much work it was to request accommodations. I did not schedule my test with ETS directly. There was a testing center at a university in town that I went to for testing, and they were able to administer the Praxis with accommodations in coordination with ETS. If you haven't already, I'd reach out to any approved testing centers in your area and see if you can test there, and if they can assist with scheduling. I have completed the 80 hour training, however, I’m having an extremely difficult time scheduling my licensing exam. I have been approved for accommodations, and have been fighting since January to get the test scheduled. ETS disability services has not been responding to my emails, has pushed back the agreed upon dates every time I call, and is continually stating that my accommodations make it difficult to schedule the exam. I have told them I am willing to take the test from home where I have all the technology set up and ready to go, go to a facility, have the test read aloud rather than use a screen reader, and Ben extremely flexible as far as dates since it is the summertime. Despite all of this, I have found myself in a loop of not getting my test schedule, and I am concerned about the amount of time that is passing between when I took the course, and also about getting the test scheduled in time for my license renewal. I was wondering if anyone else had similar challenges, and how they were able to expedite the process in order to get a licensing exam scheduled. Thanks so much Tara Mueller _______________________________________________ NOBE-L mailing list NOBE-L at nfbnet.org http://nfbnet.org/mailman/listinfo/nobe-l_nfbnet.org To unsubscribe, change your list options or get your account info for NOBE-L: http://nfbnet.org/mailman/options/nobe-l_nfbnet.org/chase.crispin%40gmail.com
