Hi everyone,

Apparently, some people who use service animals and emotional support
animals are planning on starting a group in NYC to advocate in the interest
of people who use such animals (see below). Those of you who use guide dogs
might be interested in getting involved. Don't forget that there is also a
Guide Dog User Division of the NFB. If you would like to contact
information for that division here in New York, please let me know.

P.S. I never take responsibility for grammatical and spelling errors in the
messages I forward.

New York Area Assistance Dogs is a newly formed grass roots coalition of
people who use service dogs, emotional support dogs in housing and those
who support them. Our membership consists of persons who use task traned
service dogs or emotional support dogs or are considering doing so, family
members, and health care providers.

Our purpose is education and advocacy to the public, elected officials,
other civil rights advocacy groups, disabled veterans and others with
disabilities, health care providers and those empowered to enforce the
civil rights of those persons who use task trained service dogs and
emotional support dogs whether program provided, independently trained or
owner trained.

Call 212-677-4383 if you would like to join us (free) or if you need
assistance relating to service or emotional support dogs (free).
