It’s been a busy 30 days for Aira with lots of announcements and
we wanted to make sure that everyone has full access to all of the
information.   Based on Explorer community feedback, we heard it would
be helpful to send out one email with links to all of the

Aira Company and People Update

Blue Diego Investment Group Announces Acquisition of Aira Tech Corp -
Former Aira COO Troy Otillio was an early investor in Aira after
working with former Founder and CEO Suman Kanuganti at Intuit.  Troy
led an initiative to acquire controlling interest in Aira just after
the company celebrated it’s five year anniversary. Full press

Aira has a new CEO, it’s former COO Troy Otillio.  While many of
you may have met Troy over the years at conventions, events or the
like, you can read more about Troy from his blog post on Why Aira
detailing why he was leaving a top post at Intuit to join Aira four

here. While some staffing changes have occurred, Aira is staffed to
focus on ensuring a high-quality service that can grow to meet the
needs of our users.  Troy also shares that he is looking forward to
engaging the community more deeply in the coming months - since taking
on this new role he’s focused his time on ensuring a successful
transition and laying the groundwork for a long-term company.

Aira Product Update

Aira will discontinue Horizon Smart Glasses after learning that the
Manufacturer will formally end support thus eliminating the ability to
be updated with new software.  Horizon is the third set of Smart
Glasses Aira has deployed in the past 4 years. Full expanded FAQs and

Aira Access Update

Target has announced that all 1,800 stores nationwide will become free
Aira Access locations starting March 3, 2020.

How do I find the closest Target near me using Aira?

	1. Make sure you enable location services for Aira on your mobile
device.   If you already receive notifications for other Access offers
know that Target is no different - if you are receiving notifications
your location services are already on.
	2. Choose “Call Using a Free Offer” button.
	3. Select the location button.
	4. Now you see a screen that shows you the nearest Access locations
with a search bar at the top. You can search for any city or state
just by typing there and see the access locations available. You can
alternatively type a zip / postal code and do a more precise search.
What can Aira be used for while at Target?

You can use Aira for any number of tasks while at a Target, including:

	- Shopping for holiday gifts
	- Selecting specific sale items from shelves
	- Locating carts or baskets
	- Locating the shortest check-out line
	- Picking out the perfect card to go with your gift
	- Finding the right coat for the colder weather
	- Selecting the ideal wine to pair with your holiday meals
	- And more
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has launched Aira Access
at John F. Kennedy International (JFK), Newark Liberty International
(EWR), and LaGuardia (LGA) with all three airports live now.

Milwaukee County Launches Aira Access to Expand Accessibility for MCTS Riders

The launch of a program that supports Milwaukee County Transit System
(MCTS) riders who are blind or low vision with increased access to
public transportation has been announced by Milwaukee County Executive
Chris Abele, MCTS and the Milwaukee County Office for Persons with
Disabilities (OPD). With Aira, residents and visitors can receive
free, one-on-one assistance riding the bus and navigating the more
than 5,000 bus stops in Milwaukee County.

Finally, a reminder that  the CSUN conference hotel and conference
location along with all 3 area LA airports are free Aira Access zones.
