Disability Pride Month: Bricks for the Blind NYC: Live LEGO Building
Workshop (in person)
Saturday, July 18, 2-4 PM
Join us in NYC for a fun, hands-on LEGO workshop supporting the blind
community—build, learn, and connect!
Bricks for the Blind will host a hands-on LEGO building workshop at the
Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library, bringing together blind,
low-vision, and sighted members of the public to build the LEGO City
Go-Karts and Race Drivers set (Set #60400) using BFTB's free,
screen-reader-compatible text-based instructions. Matthew Shifrin will lead
the session, with volunteers on hand to assist builders as needed. The five
fastest builders will win a LEGO Tiny Plants Botanicals set, made
accessible by BFTB.
