City University of New York Baruch College Computer Center for
Visually Impaired People will be offering 2 courses titled "Intro to
Microsoft Access" and "Using Microsoft
Access" this spring and summer.
These Microsoft Access courses are designed specifically for blind and
visually impaired individuals who use screen magnification or screen
reader software. These two courses are only offered once a year.
Participants who are sponsored by the NYS Commission for the Blind and
Visually Handicapped can take these courses for free or at
significantly reduced tuition rate.
Course details and contact information are below:Course Title: Intro to
Access
Course Description: This one-session seminar will cover the
fundamentals of compiling and managing information using forms,
tables, and reports.
Date/Time: Wednesday 4/25 5:30 - 7:30 pm
Course Title: Using Access
Course Description: In this 6-week course, students learn to create a
database, work with tables, enter and modify data, query a database
and design and format reports. Prerequisite: Successful completion of
Intro to Access.
Date/Time: Tuesdays & Thursdays 5/22-6/28 5:30 - 8:30pm
Baruch College Computer Center for Visually Impaired People also
offers courses in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other
applications as well as Mac to enable your students to study more
effectively at school and prepare them for the job market.
