Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities in collaboration with the
Department of Parks and Recreation, </div>
<p class="MsoNormal">The Long Island Bombers and WFAN 660 cordially
invite you to New York City Hear the Ball.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">New York City Hear the Ball will provide
components of </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">education, social networking and an introduction
to a sport that </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">benefits those with vision disabilities. At this
event the Long Island </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Bombers will compete against WFAN 660 in an
exhibition game of </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">beep baseball. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Beep baseball is a sport that allows individuals
with vision disabilities </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">the opportunity to interact socially while </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">providing an excellent opportunity for physical
activity.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Beep Baseball is an adapted version of our
national pastime, and with the beep of a ball and buzz of a </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">base it enables athletes with vision disabilities
to enjoy team competition.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">All are welcome as organizations will be present
to provide education about services available for those </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">with vision disabilities. At this event spectators
will witness athletic individuals who conquer their challenges </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">and rely on the abilities that lie within.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">This event is dedicated to the memory of </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Commissioner Matthew P. Sapolin</p>
