4, 2016! Published materials (including NLS Braille books and textbooks used by
New York State students) now use the Unified English Braille code. This
interactive workshop will explain what’s new, including important adjustments
to contractions, punctuation, formatting and transcription rules. Students,
teachers and readers of Braille can participate in this workshop to gain an
understanding of what’s changing and why; hands-on experience with the specific
changes that will impact most readers; and resources to study and learn more
