Okay, we'll call another one.

here's what we were going to talk about so anyone with input, please input. 
Thanks.

1.  next legislative season:  striking the language from the Access law for 
our state stating we can be asked for I D cards.  this is in violation of 
the ADA and Federal law trumps the state law.

2.  for state convention:  How many will attend?  At our luncheon, we need 
to have elections, we need to adopt the Model Constitution so that our 
Constitution conforms with other divisions and with nagdu and I'll send that 
out in draft form soon.  I've send a first draft to our state president 
because we need his endorsement which I'm sure we'll get.  The Model 
Constitution already has the endorsements of president Marc Maurer and 
Joanne Wilson, Direction of Affiliate Action, and Maurer even reworded some 
things.  When I send it out, I don't think y ou'll see many differences at 
all.  On our present Constitution, we are called Divison of Dog Enthusiasts 
with an amendment to change the name to Nyagdu, but, with this version, our 
name is New York Association of Guide dog users throughout.  I'm going to 
get a little assistance from the Nagdu president as well so we do all this 
properly.  At this point, don't think we'll have a speaker but we will have 
discussion topics this year.

3.  Report on the National Convention.

4.  it appears that at this moment, Nyagdu will mostly be involved in 
national things like Advocacy Training and the national Advocacy Hotline 
when that comes into being.

5.  Get involved.  there is a nagdu Board meeting this Sunday.  Marion does 
send out reminders about it and I'll send one this weekend.  They are 
usually the last Sunday of the month and are at 8 p.m.  also, try attending 
next year's national Convention in Dallas, join the March for Independence 
as a marcher or a virtual marcher and raise money for our Imagination Fund. 
We will be applying for funds from the Imagination Fund so that nagdu can 
start our national Advocacy Hotline.
