that was not the question and we are looking at it the wrong way.

1.) This is not a member of NAGDU or at least either doesn't attend the meetings and pays national I don't know the circumstances.

2.) I am mentioning it now that everyone is home so that we can discuss this.

3.) Per hotel rules and regulations and each hotel is different.

Children and pets are not allowed to be in rooms unattended.

do to insurance and they cannot guarantee the safety of the children and pets.

4.) This is my own opinion. Again, I take my children and animals very seriously, others may not, others don't care what they do, and that goes for the sighted as well. If I feel I am not going to use my dog or feel the situation is not a good one for my dog I am not going to take my dog. I have Nelson 90 percent of the time with me this year it was my mother if my mother was in the room and didn't want to attend a meeting or seminar I might leave my dog with her. But I would not allow my dog unattended.

Meaning if you are not going to use your dog don't take the dog.

Again, 4 is my own thinking, and either we are for or against this we cannot say one is good but not the other and if that one person leaves dog in room and something happens it effects all of us.

oh boy well I agree with both Tracy and Cheryl but frankly I don't know why
Cheryl even brought it up now, I mean its after the fact now, and did
something happen last weekend that I don't know about? I think we all know
our dogs better than anyone else and there are times when I think a rule can
be a little flexible. I for one know that I can not leave Brewster, the big
baby any where alone for more than just a few minutes unless of course the
whole hotel wants to be awakened! I know to that my other previous dogs I
could leave alone for a while without a problem. I guess we each need to be
responsible for our own dog and if such damage occurs then suffer the
consequences. I will say though that if someone else's dog infringes on how
I want to handle my dog I would be very very unhappy with that person. If
your dog is a new dog or you are not sure how he/she will react then it
would be prudent to be on the safe side and never leave your dog alone.
