Dear Fellow Federationists,
The National Association of Guide Dog Users, a strong and
proud division of the National Federation of the Blind, is creating an audio
program entitled, "Frequently Asked Questions About Service Animals". This
program will share audio files via the NAGDU website and YouTube to raise
awareness about guide and other service animals, including how guide dogs
are trained, the tasks guide dogs perform, and information about the access
rights of guide dog users.
We are inviting you to become a part of these programs by recording a
question for inclusion in our program. These questions can be recorded in
any electronic audio file formats, such as mp3, mp4, wave, etc. The question
does not necessarily need to be one you do not know the answer to, just one
you would like others to know the answer to. Your recorded question should
follow this general format:
My name is [first name (last name is optional)] from [city, state]. I would
like to know .
Send your recording as an attachment to info at nagdu.org Recorded questions
will be chosen based upon the question asked, the public impact of the
answer, and the overall quality of the question. We realize many of you may
ask the same questions and we will only be able to use one of the recordings
in the answer; therefore, please don't take it personally if your recording
is not used. You may submit more than one question but please make separate
recordings. We will do our best to let everyone whose recordings are chosen
know. We look forward to receiving your questions and enhancing our internet
presence through this program. If you have any questions or comments, please
do not hesitate to get in touch with us!
Fraternally yours,
Marion

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise
expectations because low expectations create barriers between blind people
and our dreams. You can live the life you want! Blindness is not what holds
you back.
