Hey OABSters,

I know we're all incredibly busy, but just in case this would be of
interest to anyone I'm going to mention it here. Bill McCann, founder
and CEO of Dancing Dots and co-developer of the Goodfeel music
notation software, is hosting his own music intensive the first week
of August at Enchanted Hills camp in Nappa California called "The
Academy." It sounds somewhat similar in scope to Braille Beats, minus
the movement and emphasis on independent travel skills, and with that
emphasis transferred to the software Mr. McCann has developed. I am a
Goodfeel user myself, and have greatly benefitted from a similar
program called the Summer Braille Music Institute at which I was
taught how to use the suite to produce and analyze music
independently. This software is really valuable, and I am thankful
every day at school that I do not have to rely on a scribe as so many
other music majors do in order to get my work done.

If you are at all interested in the software, for school or for use as
an experimental composer, I would definitely recommend looking into
it. I have the original email in my inbox, but I ask if you would
like to see it you email me directly so as not to junk up our list
with information most will not need. I will happy to furnish you with
the original email if a request for it is received.
