Hi Deanna,

I don't see why you can't just put Mambo on tie down under the table where you will be working at. Since this has always worked for you and I completely understand that you want to keep Mambo close by to keep an eye on him especially since Mambo and you are a new team.

Most times I think it's up to the handler if they want to use a crate or a tie down when at work. Depending  on the type of job the handler is doing  at the time they might prefer a crate over a tie down and vise versa.

Can you talk to the person in charge of that  department and  explain to them that your dog is new and he needs to be close by so you can watch him and  let them know that you have put your previous guide dog under the table on tie down with no problems. Good luck. Take care.
