As many of you have heard, NFB of Ohio has received a grant to provide
uncontracted (grade 1) Braille instruction to adults throughout the state
of Ohio. As part of this grant we are looking for people who know Braille
to be mentors to these students. You will be paid for your mentoring.
Debbie Baker and I are attaching a copy of the mentoring application. If
you would like to apply to be a mentor please complete and return the
application to one of us. marianne at denningweb.com or bakerdebra53 at gmail.com.
We will interview applicants during the week of January 21-28. All mentors
will need to come to Columbus on Saturday, February 10 (or in case of bad
weather February 17) for training. You will be reimbursed for travel
expenses and lunch will be provided. Please contact either of us if you
have any questions.
