[OAGDU] Oagdu March minutes

Hi all,
Just as a refresher, these are the Oagdu minutes from March. April's
minutes will be read tonight by our Secretary, Brent Thane.

OAGDU meeting minutes from March 8 2020



    The monthly OAGDU call began at 7:02 PM with the following members
present: (Roll call was not taken so I guessed at who was on the call
from the recording).

    Minutes: Minutes were read as I was not present.              .



    Treasurer’s Report:



                Marianne shared the balance in the checking account is
currently $1693.99. This amount includes a $200.00 deposit and
expenses of $77.98. This brings our balance on 02/28/2020 to $1816.01.
                Savings account balance remains unchanged at $101.00

            A motion was made to accept the report as given by Luann
and seconded by Diane and the motion passed.





    Committee Reports:



    Fund Raising.
                Luann reported that the raffle is still going and
tickets are on sale until 04/19/2020. The drawing will be held during
our next meeting.





6. Education:

A. Debbie will remain the chair for this committee.

7. Gavel:

A. Deanna and Marianne proctored the braille challenge this year.
There were 50 students in attendance. Deanna also did three
presentations to first graders.





8.Legislate Committee:

A. Marianne reports that service dog legislation is on hold. Our
legislators are not supporting the current bill but are not opposing
it either. Due to upcoming elections our bill is on hold.

Marianne did attend Washington seminar this year.



*Marianne shared that OAGDU has supported members traveling to
legislative day in the past. Marianne proposed that we provide $75.00
reimbursement for those making this trip. This would be on 04/07/2020
and the motion was seconded by Luann. The motion was passed.

Marianne, Debbie are attending.

Marianne made a motion that we send flowers to Deanna in a value up to
$75.00. This will also include Luann as she has upcoming surgery as
well. The motion was seconded by Luann and Debbie.











8.Next Meeting:

a. Next meeting will be held on April 19 at 7:00PM.
