Meeting was called to order by president LuAnn Bowers at 7:02 PM.  
Motion was made by Paula seconded by Shane to approve the minutes from July meeting.

Motion was made by Paula seconded by Shane to approve the minutes from the July meeting. Motion passed.
Treasurer's report: the beginning balance was $1,750.47.  
Ending balance was 
$3,883.45.  

 Motion to approve treasurer's report was made by Shane and seconded by Joe.  Motion carried.   

Old business: There was some question about whether there will be a guide dog school presentation in September. Marianne will check with Deanna to see if she has contacted any schools.  


Under new business: There was some discussion about whether to fill out the gavel award form. Apparently there is a long, rather detailed form which we've filled out in the past.  There is an option to complete a narrative 
 report which is due on October first at midnight. The consensus of the group was to submit the narrative report as opposed to the long questionnaire. 
 Vice president and treasurer should be elected on the even year which is this year.  President and secretary will be elected on the odd year.  Our next business meeting will be after the Guide dog school presentation on September 13th.   The meeting was adjourned at 7:36.
