<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black">Gipp’s vet Dr. Leftlar took a look at his eye after I explained what happened and he said that the sist on the bottom of his eye did get caught with Gipp’s dew claw and opened
up which caused the bleeding. But the sist is still there but now it just been opened up and drained some by the bleeding. Dr. Leftlar said that he didn’t want Gipp scratching or getting near his eye and damaging his cornia. So the doc sent me home with
the “cone of shame” that he has to wear over his head. Plus doc sent me home with some antibiotic ointment to put on his eye to help keep any infection from occurring. Also, I came home with some allergy medication that’s a non steroid type of medication.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:black">Also I originally had Gipp’s eye surgery scheduled for June 21st with the Eye Care For Animals where Gipp had his free eye exam done at. The Eye Care For Animals they gave me
an estimate of what Gipp will be having done and the cost of I which would be anywhere from $700 to $900 with a discount and this surgery would be done with a lazer Well I found out that my vet’s office and Dr. Leftlar could also do the surgery using lazer
and the cost of the surgery would be half the price at the Eye Care For Animals. My vet gave me an estimate of around $500 with a 15% discount which would take it down to just over $400 or so. Which is a much lesser cost to pay. So I decided to have my vet
do Gipp’s eye surgery and it will be done next Monday June 13th. So Gipp will have to wear the cone anytime I can’t keep an eye on him while in the house like when doing dishes, cleaning, doing laundry and of course he’ll have to wear it at night time. If
I can watch him while in the house he doesn’t have to wear the cone of shame. But when Gipp has to go outside to park if he goes out into the back yard he will have to wear the cone but if I take him outside on leash to park he wouldn’t have to wear the cone.
So I will just take him out on leash. He will have to wear the cone until Monday when he has the surgery done and for 2 weeks after the surgery until he goes back to have the stitches taken out. So he’ll have to wear the cone for almost three weeks. Also
since I decided to have my vet do the surgery he would need to have blood work done and he was do for it anyway do to him being a senior dog at the age of seven years old. The blood work came back fine except that his white blood cells are high and elevated
dew to his allergies flairing up so that’s why I decided to put him back on some allergy medication for a while. Up until now Gipp’s allergies have been doing pretty good and not allot of scratching until just recently. So I’ll keep everyone posted to how
the surgery went and how Gipp’s doing after I bring him home on Monday afternoon. Take care.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
