I was wondering how you
dog guide owners handled this situation. When I owned my guides, 40 years
or more ago, there were no service animals. With which to deal. I
work with my community college's students. One of whom brought with her a
service dog to class. Another student brought pizza. For us all to
share. The student with the service dog, allowed the dog to eat a slice of
pizza. When I owned my guide dog, we were instructed never to
allow them to eat food meant for human consumption, such as pizza, or other
kinds of fast foods. and never to eat in such settings as are class
rooms. In fact, my first guide never, so much as begged for food. If
she was lying on the floor of a car. While I ate fast food. My
question is this: How do you keep your dogs disciplined. If other
dogs are eating food which is unhealthy for them to eat.

I believe the reason the article does not say what ended up happening is
because nothing yet has been determined. The article does state the service
animal user has filed a temporary restraining order and the judge is weighing
whether or not to issue a permanent injunction. We will be folowing this case,

Updated At 12 oh 5 AM.. Judge weighs sorority sisters'
dispute over dog Judge weighs sorority sisters' dispute over dog The
Associated Press COLUMBUS, Ohio . COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) A federal judge is
deciding whether a dog trained to help an Ohio State University student
during panic attacks can stay at her sorority house despite another
student's allergy. The Columbus Dispatch reports the university ordered
Madeleine Entine to remove her dog, Cory, from the Chi Omega sorority house
because another resident complained that the dog inflamed her allergies and,
in turn, her Crohn's disease. A school official determined that both
students were protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the
only solution was to allow the person who signed up for their room first to
stay in the house. Entine filed a temporary restraining order against the
university on Oct. 26. A judge is weighing whether to issue a permanent
injunction allowing her and the dog to stay.
