Dangers of Impatience
Sometimes it’s hard to be patient, especially when you’re feeling the pressure of not wanting to be late to a special event, or talking to someone who just doesn’t seem to comprehend what you are trying to tell them. It’s especially frustrating when driving down the road and a car pulls out in front of you going ten miles under the speed limit. But there are dangers that come with impatience. It may be just at the second you pass the car, a huge truck is coming straight at you! Or perhaps the person you were talking to with an irritated tone turned out to be your boss’s wife! There are always consequences to your actions. Often your Christian influence as well as your spiritual growth, is dampened by impatience. If you don’t want to wait for God’s answer, and you get ahead of the Lord, there is almost always–a bitter price to pay. Jesus wants you to follow Him, and although that may sound like a simple thing to do–it can prove quite challenging, if you are not praying your way through every life situation. When you make decisions on your own, jump to conclusions, or take matters into your own hands–you’ll get in trouble every time! Determine today to stay so close to Jesus that you can hear His voice, whispering words of comfort, direction and guidance–and you will avoid the dangers of impatience! Text: Matthew 4:19, Psalm 27:14, Galatians 5:22-23, 1 Corinthians 13:4-5

Bible Texts:
Matthew 4:19 NKJV - "Then He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."

Psalm 27:14 NKJV - Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!

Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 NKJV - Love suffers long [and] is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
