Genesis 3:1-13

In Genesis 1 and 2 we learned about man walking with God in a garden and a beautiful marriage between a husband and a wife. Then, in chapter four we’ll learn about jealousy, anger, murder, lying, wickedness, rebellion, and worst of all, a broken relationship with God. What happens in between? Travel with us through chapter 3, as Adam and Eve meet a serpent and, through their disobedience to God, everything changes. (Airs April 26, 2021)

Adam and Eve have turned from God and now God must respond. Our study of Genesis continues as God judges the serpent, the battle of good and evil begins, God gives us the first prophecy about the coming of the Messiah, and we meet Adam and Eve’s children, Cain and Abel. (Airs April 27, 2021)

Take a deep breath … now exhale and accept this truth: God doesn’t expect you to live the Christian life on your own.

He never has.

Only Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit living and working in you can produce a fruitful life—the kind Jesus wants you to live. The fruit of God’s Spirit doesn’t show up in what you do, but rather in who you are becoming as you grow closer to Him.
