Forgive Yourself
As a Christian we know and trust that God has the power to forgive. When we’ve made a mistake, and ask God for forgiveness–our discretion is not only forgiven, but forgotten. The Bible says in Micah 7:19, that He will “hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.” So why is it then, that although God has forgiven us–we can not forgive ourselves? When we’ve made even the smallest mistake, we’re quick to wallow in self condemnation, and suffer with self-loathing. Even though we know God has forgiven us–somehow we just don’t “feel it” in our hearts. Perhaps that’s the reason so many people keep asking God to forgive the same sin, over and over again–when there’s no need because when God forgives–He forgives completely! No need to keep begging and asking Him to forgive the same sin–for He hurled it into the depths of the sea the “first” time we asked! As long as we keep punishing ourselves with guilt-ridden hearts, we can’t experience the real joy God wants us to have. Nor can we have a relationship with God that is built on faith and trust. Start a new relationship with God today by believing His promise in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” God has forgiven you . . . now forgive yourself! Text: Isaiah 43:25-26, Acts 3:19, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Hebrews 10:17, Psalm 103:12

Bible Texts:

Acts 3:19 NKJV - "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord"

2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV - Therefore, if anyone [is] in Christ, [he is] a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Psalm 103:12 NKJV - As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
