Pray for Courage

There are Christians who love the Lord but refuse to completely turn their life over to Him. One of the biggest reasons is simply that they are afraid. They fear that God will ask them to do something they don’t want to do. But there’s never a reason to be fearful when God calls you for a task because He will always give you everything you need to do the job He’s asked you to do. If you struggle with surrender, then pray for courage. Maya Angelou once said, “Courage is the most important of the virtues because without it, no other virtue can be practiced consistently.” Courage doesn’t mean that you are not afraid when God calls you to do something. It just means that even though you are afraid . . . you do it! God can give you everything you need to do the task He’s given you, but you need to take the first step. Jeremiah 1:17 tells us, “Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them.” When God calls–you never need to fear. Someone once said, “If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.” If you are trying to do everything yourself, then there is plenty of reason to be afraid. But you’ll have peace and courage when you remember that God is in control, so there is nothing to fear. Text: 2 Chronicles 15:7, Philippians 1:20, Deuteronomy 31:6, Isaiah 41:10

Bible Texts:
2 Chronicles 15:7 NKJV - "But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!"

Philippians 1:20 NKJV - according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV - "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He [is] the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you."

Isaiah 41:10 NKJV - Fear not, for I [am] with you; Be not dismayed, for I [am] your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'
