Mini Bible College has a new name!

Dear Valued Investor,

Thank you for being part of our Ministry and for using our content for all of these years. It is a great privilege to have your support and partnership in sharing life-changing Bible study resources. Your enthusiastic support of the Mini Bible College (MBC) program has allowed ICM to train nearly 2 million disciples for Jesus Christ worldwide. That is a tremendous result, and words aren’t enough to thank you for it. 

Because you’ve been such a faithful supporter of MBC, I want to personally tell you about an important and exciting change to the program. With the incredible growth in our discipleship efforts over the last three years—as well as a new visionary goal of training 25 million disciples by 2025—has come the need to rename Dick Woodward’s survey of the Bible. 

While “Mini Bible College” was originally chosen to reflect both the accessibility (mini) and depth (college) of the material, the name proved problematic for our partners and students. Our partners struggled to translate the name into other languages that accurately reflected its intent and purpose. Some students mistakenly believed that studying the lessons would earn them a formal degree. As the distribution of MBC has grown, so have these issues.    

That’s why ICM's leadership has chosen to rename Dick Woodward’s material Foundations: a Multiplatform Bible Curriculum. The name “Foundations” embodies what we believe about discipleship—that it is the foundation all healthy churches stand upon. Our indigenous partners will also find the name much easier to translate and promote, ideally leading to more clarity in their discipleship reporting. 

The tag “Multiplatform Bible Curriculum” nods to the original MBC acronym, while also highlighting how the material has grown in both accessibility and use across the world.
