The Mate God Chooses
Some say “love is blind,” and that expression is probably referring to “new love” which usually only sees the “good” and not the bad traits in each other. In the first few months of dating, each is on their “best behavior,” because naturally they want to make a good impression as well as wanting the other person to like them. But the longer they date, the more “comfortable” they are and then they start letting their guard down. When that happens, you start to see “the real person,” not just who they want you to see. The best advice is; never even date someone unless you have prayed about it first! There’s nothing better than finding the mate that “God” chooses! The most important questions to ask yourself in any relationship are: “Is God present?” “They ‘say’ they love Jesus, but do their actions show it?” “Is selfishness in their heart?” “Are they kind and loving toward others?” “Does their character reveal Christ in their lives?” The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, “Love is patient.” Only God knows hearts, so when it comes to relationships–take your time and allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide. Text: Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, Psalm 37: 7-9, Galatians 5:22-23

Bible Texts:
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NKJV - Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.

Psalm 37:7-9 NKJV - Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret--it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the LORD, They shall inherit the earth.

Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
