Learning to be Content
If God gave us everything that we “think” we want–in most cases it probably wouldn’t make us very happy. Too often the things that we think we just “have to have,” isn’t good for us at all–and if we were to see the end from the beginning, we wouldn’t want it anyway! Having what we want and wanting what we have– are two very different things! Instead of always wanting more in life–it’s good to take stock of what we “do” have and take time to appreciate God’s blessings. There’s a wonderful feeling of freedom when we are not always chasing after something bigger and better than what we have. Take time to “smell the roses,” and appreciate God’s amazing gifts that He has already given us. The Bible says in Philippians 4:11, “I have learned to be content with whatever I have.” Learning to be content is a really good lesson for all of us and then we can truly love and appreciate God’s amazing gifts! Text: Hebrews 13:5, Proverbs 19:23

Bible Texts:
Hebrews 13:5 NKJV - Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

Proverbs 19:23 NKJV - The fear of the LORD leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.
