Agree to Disagree
Arguments cause the most stressful life situations and most of the time it’s because each party involved insists on being “right,” sometimes quite heatedly. But nothing good comes from arguing. Marriages fall apart, friendships end, jobs are lost, and tears are shed . . . all because of arguments. Even if you “win” the disagreement, did you “really” win? Chances are you didn’t walk away feeling good about yourself or what transpired. Was proving you’re “right” worth the expense of losing a friendship or your personal peace? The less you respond to criticism, rudeness, or insults, the more peaceful your life will be. Learn to be okay with someone who doesn’t share your point of view and be satisfied that “you” know what your truth is. In other words, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It really doesn’t matter if someone else thinks differently than you - just let it go. Some people like to argue, but you don’t have to take the bait. If you want to experience real peace in this troubled world, respond in a Christlike way, smile without being smug, and “agree to disagree.” TEXT: Ephesians 4:31-5:2, Romans 14:19, James 4:1, Proverbs 17:14

Bible Texts:
Ephesians 4:31-32 NKJV - Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Ephesians 5:1-2 NKJV - Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

Romans 14:19 NKJV - Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

James 4:1 NKJV - Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?

Proverbs 17:14 NKJV - The beginning of strife is like releasing water; Therefore stop contention before a quarrel starts.
