Stop the Rat Race
It seems our world keeps spinning faster and faster, and everyone is racing just to keep up! From the moment the alarm goes off in the morning we are racing through the “get ready process,” and out the door to face the day, racing home and the “racing” doesn’t stop until we fall into bed, exhausted, only to do the same thing the next day. Sadly, in all this “racing around,” there is no time carved out for special moments with God. This racing through life, is not only empty and unfulfilling, but deadly because in the end–we will lose out on eternal life! Nothing is worth missing out on heaven. God wants us to have a balance in our life. We all know the story of creation, where God created six days for us to “work and play” but the seventh day is for Him, however that doesn’t mean we ignore God through the week! We need to spend quiet time each day with Jesus, studying the Bible, praying, worshiping and praising Him! When we do, our lives will be richer, fuller and more rewarding than we could dream! Not because everything is perfect in our lives–but because we are not racing through life alone–Jesus, our “Co-pilot” is navigating through all the difficult twists and turns and He does all the worrying for us! Stop the rat race, increase your prayer and worship time, and you'll experience a little heaven here on earth Text: James 4:8, John 15:7-8, Psalm 1:2

James 4:8 NKJV - Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 

John 15:7-8 NKJV - "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples."

Psalm 1:2 NKJV - But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
