Can’t Outgive God
Paying tithe isn’t something that you do whenever you “feel like it” or when it’s financially comfortable but because it is the duty of every follower of Christ. God wants you to pay tithe because ten percent of your income belongs to Him. When you don’t pay tithe, you are stealing from God. We’re told in Malachi 3:8-9, “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me.” There is actually a punishment if you steal from God. Since tithe doesn’t belong to you, but to God, you are not really “giving” anything to Him unless you are giving offerings, which are over and above ten percent of your earnings. Giving an offering can be putting money in the offering plate at church, giving your time for a humanitarian outreach, or donating to a ministry. If you are thinking that you can’t “afford” to give, remember what God says about giving. The Bible makes it very clear in Malachi 3:10: “ ‘Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.’ ” The bottom line is this: you just can’t outgive God! The more you give, the more He blesses. God will open doors for you that no man, no hater, no devil can shut! Revelation 3:8 says, “I have opened a door for you no one can close.” There is an important element that is essential when giving, and that is to give “joyfully.” Second Corinthians 9:7 tells us, “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Show God that you trust Him to take care of you by putting Him to the test. You will find that when you give generously, He will be generous to you with His many blessings, for you truly can’t outgive God. Text: Proverbs 3:9-10, Mark 12:41-44, Deuteronomy 8:18, Proverbs 11:24-25

Bible Texts:
Proverbs 3:9-10 NKJV - Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.

Mark 12:41-44 NKJV - Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; "for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood."

Deuteronomy 8:18 NKJV - "And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day."

Proverbs 11:24-25 NKJV - There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.
