You Choose Your Thoughts
There are so many things in life that you simply can’t control, such as who your parents are, which way the wind blows, how much sand washes up on the beach, what time the sun comes out and a million other things–but there is one thing that you DO have complete control over–and that is your ‘thoughts!’ If a thought pops in your mind–it is because you allowed it. You can think negative or positive thoughts–it is totally up to you, because you have the power over your mind. If you allow yourself to swim in the pity party pool–you will not only drag yourself down but others as well. If you want a joy–filled day then think about good things. The easiest way to do that is to start by counting your blessings. The things that you think about will completely influence every aspect of your life. Have you ever noticed that people tend to be either ‘negative,” (always thinking about what’s going wrong) or ‘positive,’ (those that dwell on the bright side of life.) The Bible says in Proverbs 4:23, “Be very careful about what you think. Your thoughts run your life.” No one has power over your mind but YOU . . . so choose your thoughts carefully–thinking on all the good things God has done for you–and you’ll experience the abundant life God wants you to have! Text: Romans 12:2, Philippians 4:8, Isaiah 26:3, 2 Timothy 1:7, Proverbs 17:22

Bible Texts:
Romans 12:2 NKJV - And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Philippians 4:8 NKJV - Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.

Isaiah 26:3 NKJV - You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV - For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Proverbs 17:22 NKJV - A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.
