Give God the Key
Understanding just “who” God is and how much He loves us–is directly related to our desire to serve Him as Lord and Savior. Simply put: It’s really, “all about the love!” If we didn’t truly know that God IS love and that there is no one who could possibly love us more–then why would we want to give our hearts to Him? But when we start to understand the depth of His love, we can’t help but want to give our hearts to Him and serve Him! Sometimes we hold back on fully surrendering “our will,” to “His will,” because there is something in our lives we just don’t want to give up! We’re afraid that giving our heart to God will mean that we will lose something precious we are not willing to live without–such as an unhealthy relationship, a career path, or a lifestyle change. But when we are clinging to our treasured sins, it is usually because we don’t have a clear picture of just “who” God is! We don’t fully acknowledge that He is a loving and just God! If we knew that–then it would be easy to turn our hearts over to Him, trusting fully that He is a powerful God who wants only what is best for us and that He has the power to take care of us. So instead of guarding the prison that holds your fear, and sinful desires, give God the key–tell Him your troubles, weaknesses and yes, your secret sins, and allow Him to replace your pain and heartache–with His gift of joy! Re-examine your life today and adjust your schedule to include one-on-one time with your Best Friend, Jesus! It will change your life! Text: 1 John 4:12, 19, Luke 5:32, Psalm 89:47

Bible Texts:
1 John 4:12, 19 NKJV - No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. ... We love Him because He first loved us.

Luke 5:32 NKJV - "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."

Psalm 89:47 NKJV - Remember how short my time is; For what futility have You created all the children of men?
