The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.

Subject: [Ohio-Communities-of-Faith] It Is With Sadness, I Report!

Ohio Members, and Friends,

It is with great sadness that I report the passing of our beloved,
long-term, faithful member, Henry Butler Junior, who died on yesterday.

Henry was quite dedicated to the federations cause and participated in
everything from the national and state conventions, to passing out
literature in the community, to attending Ohio board meetings, to attending
almost every Chapter meeting. He truly was a federationist. One of my most
memorable times, is seeing him in the hallways at the national convention in
Detroit selling M&M'S.

Henry also played Beep Base Ball, was a member of the Blind Bowling Team and
faithful member of his church. During his last days on earth, his daughter
moved him into her home to care for him. He did not like that, but quickly
adjusted. She was concerned for his safety living alone at home. I am so
glad that she knew what he needed.

The Cleveland Chapter has loss a shiny and bright diamond. We grieve, but we
are also so grateful to have had Henry for over 40 years in the Cleveland
Chapter.

Henry, "Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved
beyond words and missed beyond measure." May You rest in heavenly peace.

There are no arrangements at this time. However, I will share as I am
provided with them.

Suzanne
