Subject: Re: Parents Group Meeting
Good Morning Everyone,
I pray all is well and you're in good health!
Below you will find the invitation for the Blind Parents group invasion. May you please review and respond with any changes that need to be made.
Thanks,
National Federation of the Blind of Ohio (NFBO)
Ohio Blind Parents Group
The NFB Ohio Affiliate welcomes all blind parents to participate in the Ohio Blind Parents Group, an exciting opportunity to share, care, and network. The purpose is to “connect blind parents or prospective parents to facilitate sharing resources, advocacy, and mentorship about parenting as a blind person. This group connects blind parents and guardians from all backgrounds and helps raise societal expectations for the capacity of blind caregivers.”
We will meet on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 3:00 PM EDT on the Ohio Zoom Platform.
Please spread the word!
Blind Parents do not have to be a member of the National Federation of the Blind to participate.
So, if you are, were, or will become a parent, grandparent, adoptive or foster parent and blind, join us Sunday, May 25th.
Masquenada Douglas and Ivory Thomas will facilitate the topic: “Migrating between two worlds .” All parents want their children to be healthy, independent and a social butterfly. Therefore, how do blind parents guarantee that sighted children develop positive peer relationships, adapt to social integration and participate in community engagements?
Come and weigh in on the discussion!!
