<p><span style="font-family: calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; color:black;">We celebrate White Cane Awareness Day on October 15 and throughout the month. We recognize the right of blind people to move freely, safely, and independently with a white cane or guide dog, which is affirmed by White Cane laws in all fifty states. <a href="https://nfb.org/civicrm/mailing/url?u=40516&qid=11861276" rel="nofollow" style="color:blue; text-decoration:underline" target="_blank">Read about the history of the white cane</a>.</span></p>

Connect with your chapter and affiliate presidents to coordinate a proclamation.</span></li>
