Sorry Folks, I gave the wrong number:
We just had our state NFB convention this past weekend,
and when they announced that number, I'd have sworn
they said it was an 866 toll-free number, not 877. So
that's why I said 866, whereas the message below says
877. I just called the national office for
clarification. It is an 877 number. So I was
incorrect earlier, the correct number to call for help
is 1-877-NFB-1940. ;-)

Subject: Emergency Call-In Number If You Experience
Problems With the Accessible Voting Machines
Regarding the accessible voting machines:
If anyone has any voting problems tomorrow, such as
with the people there not knowing why the machine may
not be working properly, tell them to call--or you can
call for them: 1-866-NFB-1940.
This is an emergency call-in, live help line to help
instruct voters and voting booth workers on how to get
the machines running, how to run the machines, how to
fix any possible problems, all so that blind voters may
get to vote. I suggest even if you have no problems
tomorrow, pass along the number to someone in charge at
your local office, so that any who come to vote after
you may be kept from the all too typical ignorance that
abounds. People usually want and try to help, but
often are somewhat clueless as to what to do to get the
machines working properly if problems arise. Call
1-866-NFB-1940 to help them get clear, concise answers
to fix the problem, immediately. In fact, I urge you
to call your county's voting office today, and pass
along the emergency number, to make sure they pass
along the number to all their reps by tomorrow. Hey,
we can always hope, can't we?
1-866-NFB-1940
Strive On!
