Commissioners,

Attached is the proposed agenda for our April 20th Budget and Audit
Committee meeting. As you can see, the majority of the agenda is devoted to
stimulus funding discussion. Since we now have guidance from the U.S.
Department of Education and formal funding notification, we will be
presenting an update on that information as well as the results of our
evaluation of stimulus proposals at the April 20th meeting.

In addition to the agenda, please find the attached documents for your
review prior to the meeting:

1. Draft minutes from the March 2, 2009 Budget & Audit Committee meeting
including a separate Attachment A (letter from Ohio Association of Goodwills
referenced under Public Comment).

2. An RSC VR Stimulus Overview, including project criteria.

3. The VR ARRA Fact Sheet from the U.S. Department of Education (formatted
in Word)

4. An RSC IL Stimulus Overview, including project criteria.

5. The IL ARRA Fact Sheet from the U.S. Department of Education

At the time of this mailing, we have not yet heard back from Brenda Curtiss
of the Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) regarding the project
criteria for the Independent Living, Part B funding. We will continue to
follow-up with Brenda and provide additional information regarding IL Part B
as it becomes available.

BVR and BSVI program staff are currently in the process of reviewing the
submitted stimulus projects using the criteria established for the
respective programs. We plan to send out project summaries and the results
of this assessment later in the week. (Over 60 projects were submitted to
the Governor's SharePoint site alone.)

Please let me (or Bev Jennings) know if you should have any questions
regarding the attached materials. I look forward to seeing you, both at the
Solidarity Conference on Wednesday and at the Budget & Audit Committee
meeting next Monday.
