Barnes and Noble in the Cleveland Ohio area was also a site for a Louis
Braille Birthday celebration. Barb of the Lake County chapter, Suzanne
and her daughter Danielle of the Cleveland chapter, and Jerry, Cheryl,
and Brooke of the Cuyahoga chapter manned a table with Braille games, a
Louis Braille print/Braille book, Braille alphabet cards and Myth
Busters about Braille pamphlets. We also had a DVD playing about the
Campaign to increase Braille literacy.

Mainly people with kids came by and we wrote names in Braille for them
on a Perkins and with a slate and stylus. We gave them colorful Louis
Braille pins and cookies made by Melina and Shawn using M and Ms on them
to create Braille letters.

The employees at Barnes and Noble made announcements about us being
there throughout the four hours we were there. They were awfully nice,
willing to help in any way.

A fun event- Thumbs up to Annette Anderson who organized everything!

Cheryl
