Some of you may have seen this information already, but I wanted to make
sure that everyone has it.

Facts about the 2009 Louis Braille Bicentennial Silver Dollar

Proof Dollar: Pre-Issue: $37.95, Regular Issue: $41.95.

Uncirculated Coin: Pre-Issue: $31.95, Regular Issue: $33.95
(Uncirculated coin is also available in an easy-open capsule).

The 2009 Louis Braille Bicentennial Silver Dollar coin is considered
legal tender.
*
Both the proof and uncirculated coins are composed of 90 percent
silver and 10 percent copper.

The proof coin is double stamped and is made from a different blank
than the uncirculated version. This means that the proof's image will be
sharper and the coin itself will be shinier.
*
Mintage limit: 400,000.
*
Sales begin March 26, 2009, at 12:00 noon (Eastern). Pre-issue
period ends at 5:00 p.m. on April 27, 2009.

Household order limits will be in effect during at least the first
thirty days of production: 100 units each of the individual proof and
uncirculated coin, and 5 special set units.
