If you want to be in the pool of people who can have their names drawn for
door prizes, you must be registered. If you are not registered, there is a
chance that the hotel will question whether you attended the convention and
make you pay full room rate. If you have worked out something with J.W.
whereby he has said that he will register you and buy your banquet ticket,
it will be done for you. But if you are just waiting to hear about
convention assistance or whatever, no one is doing the job for you.
