And here's just one more that makes it sound tantalizing, even to me! 
Several others have responded with tales of camps, groups of blind people 
trying it, etc., but I don't want to flood our list.

Hi:
I went sky diving in 2001.
It was an amazing experience.
I did it tandem with a jump master.
First they showed us a film.
Then, it was time to suit up.
The feeling is like none other.
The wind is so powerful that you feel like you are flying.
After free-falling the shoot opens up and you are floating.
The jump master had me practice landing on my feet.
What an experience.
Just go for it!
It's a real adventure.
I had the video guy tape all the sounds.
It's a great memory to have.
