                  Retirement Announcement
                 
           
           
                  Dear RSC partners:

                   

                  I have submitted a letter to Governor Ted Strickland indicating that I will be retiring from public service effective January 9, 2011. I have been working in the social justice field for 42 years. It is now time to move on to the next phase in life.

                   

                  My time at RSC has been rewarding and humbling. I have met several thousand Ohioans with disabilities and have had the opportunity to listen to their hopes and dreams. I have also had the privilege of working with staff and partners who are dedicated to assisting and supporting Ohio citizens with disabilities in achieving their goals. From these many encounters I have learned valuable lessons, which I will carry with me.

                   

                  The governor-elect will appoint a new administrator for RSC. As the transition of leadership begins at the agency, keep in mind that an ending always precedes a beginning and a beginning is about possibilities and opportunities.

                   

                  Thank you for your support, kindness and commitment.
