Lisa and all,
Just as an FYI, you are by no means the first to consider reading from 
Braille on the Cincinnati radio reading service.  Back in its early days 
(the service was begun in 1978), I had a program for a few years for which I 
read exclusively from publications available only in Braille at the time. 
Later, in the mid 1990s, I did an interview program for which I sometimes 
read articles from braille publications.
Jim Tudor, who was the primary broadcast guru for many years, often read 
from braille publications and now sometimes reads articles from braille-only 
publications on the PTP dial-up service.
What they could really use would be a volunteer operating the board. 
Reading from braille on the air is not as relevant now as in the past since 
there is little that can be gotten in braille only formats, but having 
someone operate the board who is blind sends an important message to sighted 
volunteers.  New software, specifically for the purpose of making that board 
accessible has been recently purchased, so the latter is at long last 
possible.  I know this because I am on the board of trustees for CABVI and 
specifically on the committee that makes decisions for the reading service. 
We recently authorized the purchase of the above-mentioned software.  Good
